The Medical Oncology Unit provides care for patients with acute medical problems/needs, such as pneumonia, chronic respiratory problems, asthma, diabetes, heart disease, and medical care of the elderly. In addition, oncology patients are cared for, including those needing inpatient chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
The nurses providing care for these patients received extra training to meet the special needs of these patients.
Also located on the campus is one of our independent partners:
The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, which provides outpatient chemotherapy, radiation, and cancer education and support services.
