At Texas Health Huguley, our associates make the difference. That's why we look for skilled, professional personnel to help us fulfill our goal of providing extraordinary service. At the heart of Texas Health Huguley's success is its dedication to providing the finest healthcare while living out our mission of serving people like those we love the most.
We’d like to introduce you to Kristy Robinson, AGACNP-BC, OCN, Clinical Oncology Coordinator.
Tell us about a day in the life when you’re at work.
We start with a time of dedication and prayer before the start of our shift. We pray for our hospital, our leaders, patients and our peers. Every one of our staff members work together, not as a team, but as a family. Our patients bring with them confusion and doubt. My job is to help our patient and staff with whatever they need. I work with our physicians, interdisciplinary team and patients to facilitate their care.
What do you love most about your job?
No day is easy, no day is the same. But, it is the best feeling to think you have made a difference in a life.
Tell us about the ones you love the most.
My greatest pride is my family. I love that my husband Danny (oncology night team lead) and daughter Brandy Grice (college student, MSW on the oncology unit and education) work at Texas Health Huguley. My other daughter Brittany Grice is a full-time college student at Texas State University and my son Carter who lives in Houston. My biggest support is my mother and father, who tell everyone they know (and don't know) that their daughter is a nurse.
Why do you do what you do?
Jesus is my reason.
