Meet Laurie Caro, BSN, RNC-OB, CCE, our OB Care Coordinator/Navigator

Laurie supports patients facing pregnancy complications or special conditions by providing education, resources and follow-up care. She also helps connect patients with the right OB to ensure they receive the best possible care. Laurie’s goal is to make the process easier and keep every patient safe along the way.

Childbirth Education and Resources

We are here to see that your journey to parenthood is as comfortable and smooth as possible. Join us for one of our free childbirth and baby basics education classes available to those delivering at Texas Health Huguley Women's Center. Our team will cover various topics, from childbirth preparation and postpartum care to baby proofing and treating basic first aid emergencies. We recommend our classes for first-time parents and as a refresher course for returning parents.

Lactation Services

Patients have access to lactation services with a certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) seven days a week. All new moms receive a visit from an IBCLC during their hospital stay. Outpatient consultation appointments are also available by patient or physician request.

Texas Health Huguley partners with Mothers Milk Bank of North Texas to improve the health and survival of critically ill infants through breast milk donations. Clicking the link here will open a new browser window and display a separate standalone website for mother's milk bank of North Texas.

And for tracking your baby’s movements, the Count the Kicks App is a must-have. It’s free, easy to use, and helps you monitor daily kicks so you can spot any changes and reach out to your provider if needed.
